Who is eligible to receive the vaccine?

The Louisiana Department of Health is coordinating the Covid-19 vaccine distribution effort in Louisiana. As more vaccine doses become available from the CDC, more individuals and groups will be offered vaccination.

Limited amounts of Covid vaccines are currently available for select groups defined by the Louisiana Department of Health with guidance from the CDC.

Where can I get the vaccine?

Vaccines are currently being distributed at a variety of locations throughout the state including health units, pharmacies, medical clinics, and hospitals.

Patients must contact a participating location and make an appointment at the location.  Many appointments can be made online through location websites.

How much does it cost to get the vaccine?

The Covid-19 vaccine is FREE.

The federal government is making vaccines available at no cost. You cannot be charged for a vaccine or a regular office visit to receive a vaccine. (Source: Louisiana Department of Health)
